GUIDE TO MARKETING YOUR ART COURSE, BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Artist Guide Course On How To Market Your Art Online.

Introduction
The artist is one with a vivid imagination, a complex, yet beautiful and intense mind.

Our ability to observe and translate events, objects, humanity, lifestyle, and pain that we see around us, into a gift that is shared and received by all who see it and term it  'Creativity' is what oils our artistic wheels to keep moving.

It encourages us, artist, to keep on creating and expanding our gift, to the delight of our Audience.
What comes in between this creativity, is how the artist suffers in the name of their craft.

I know that because I have been there. It was difficult to get any gallery representation, for years I relied on friends heavily to buy my works because my Art style was misunderstood.
I basically create abstract Art with objects and my paintings are mostly Ink based on paperboards. It was really a financial burden to carry on working when no one around me was buying. So when the online selling platforms came on, I knew I had to get on board if I was to keep creating Art.

I joined the internet in 2013, opening my Art blog on blogger, I posted my first blog on bottles I had made and simply described how I made them and the views from people were staggering and the rest is history.

Today I sell via my blog and I have created a successful Art business, just by storytelling my Art, my own way without boundaries and reaping the full benefits of my hard work, as an independent unrepresented Artist.

I know the difficulty it entails to put this beauty, created by us called Artworks, out there best paintings, sculpture, graphics, fashion, pottery or ceramics, photography etc and be taken seriously by galleries, markets, dealers, collectors etc.....is a huge, if not a herculean task to bear.

That brings me to the issue, of the Internet and the artist. The Internet has created a platform for the artist that could be far-reaching than we artist anticipate.
An artist can make a living by the side, regardless of brick and mortar or huge financial commitment, just by uploading and clicking.  Whilst waiting for the big break, we all dream about and desire.

The Internet at least is on the side of the artist, the reason I say so is from my own experience.

ARTIST AND GEOMETRIC SHAPES AND LINES | MIABO ENYADIKE

ARTIST AND GEOMETRIC SHAPES AND LINES.

What if geometric shapes and lines are the secret tools of the Artist? Maybe they are? just saying.......

Fine Arts begin with geometric shapes and lines. Are these shapes and lines the secret tool of the Artist? I always ask myself this question when I'm sketching down an idea for Art.

Our lives in lines: Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

When we see Circles, Cylinders, Torus(doughnut), Spheres, Squares, Rectangles and Triangles our minds immediately associate them with mathematics or sciences in general, but this is not so for the artist.

The artist sees these, Shapes and lines as creative tools, used to create art pieces. This could be in the form of paintings, sculpting, drawing, designing and architecture.

These geometric shapes, truly work with the artist and also shape the entire creative process of their artwork, without any formal calculations or mathematical formulas. Allow me to further explain, the use of geometric shapes in art.

Squares and Circles: Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

For instance, sketching a human face, neck, and shoulder is simply to draw first, a sphere which represents the human  face, then proceed to draw a cylinder which represents the neck.

Then draw straight lines, shooting out  from both sides of the bottom of the cylinder as the shoulders, before getting down to the business of putting the entire facial expressions, light and shade in order.

It is that simple, the point I am making is simply the use of Shapes and lines, is a must when attempting any creative endeavor with a pen, pencil, chisel, brush, or even cutting paper for decoupage, lines are involved in the form of shapes.

In my abstract expression of the use of lines, I pay homage to Bauhaus Style, in its simplicity yet using lines and shapes, in a way that is both commanding, intriguing and fascinating.

This Style is seen in design, art, architecture and lifestyle in general.

My interpretation is a bit different, though not a complete departure from the Bauhaus Style, that is still so relevant today especially in design architecture.

In this case, this is my opinion on how lines play a part in my abstract expression of  geometric lines and shapes be my guest and...... Enjoy.
