ABSTRACT COLLAGE ART MIXED MEDIA.

Abstract Art collage mixed media, is a style of art I am most familiar with.I love to apply objects and different materials to wood board and canvas

My background is fine and applied arts, so I basically was nurtured in that style of abstract mixed media collage, where objects and materials matter most in your work than the paint you apply.

My Art series on view today does that, I have created colorful silhouettes of men with geometric paper cut outs. The geometric shape I have chosen for these artworks is circle.

There is no underlying reason to that but for my preference for circles, as it is a much easier shape to manipulate with paper giving the subjects involved.

I used a paper cutter and old magazines all applied on an acrylic painted canvas, yes you heard me well canvas not paperboard my favorite art material.

This series is an Abstract Art Expressionism in a collage mixed media style, my inspiration comes from the need to manipulate printed paper and see how much I can get out of it.

ART STORYTELLING OF OUR TIMES.

These days, all I read in the newspapers on a daily basis, could be summed up into three parts,
1.Global economy.
2.Disregard for Human rights.
3.Climate change.

STOLEN BABIES

This informs my decision, on many aspects of our lives, in this world that we live in. It goes on to determine how we think and how we live.

                                          SPONSORED

I have read the same newspaper brand for years, and that particular brand of newspaper, is what I read everyday and at the end of reading it, I am filled with mixed feelings

200 CHIBOK GIRLS KIDNAPPED IN NIGERIA

sit and wonder, about  everything life. I try to process the events I read in my mind, some of them are so heartbreaking. It makes me wonder, how these things could even be conceived let alone allowed to happen.

THE RELIEVED MOTHER

As an artist, each day I try to replay these events differently in my mind, giving it a face, in order for me to fully understand, or even come to terms with some of these events, we are witnessing that are being brought to our attention daily.

I have made quite a few of these stories, that you and  I  have read in the papers, in some way, into drawings.

These drawing are mixed media, and were made with charcoal and Ink, on the financial pages of my daily news paper.

I did these illustrations on the financial pages of the newspaper I read because finance, plays a huge part in a lot of these events that happen in our lives.

                                             SPONSORED

I am telling these stories, through Ink as a medium on newspaper sheets with a street art style in a rather Pedestrian way because life has become too  simplistic to us all we have all become complacent in one way or another, ignoring facts as we are faced with onslaught of events that overwhelm us all.

                              Nature at Stake

These Art stories are a reminder to help us further understand how these events, have truly in some way changed our perceptions about life.

Finally, for me it's all about storytelling the times we are in with ART! ......... ENJOY

HOW TO PAINT COLORFUL FLOWERS IN ABSTRACT AND INK

Abstract art flower paintings are always an appeal to me. The difference in this particular series, are my choice of background colors.

The colors, I chose for the backgrounds of all the art, in this series is similar and vivid in its representation.

                                           Sponsored

I created contrast between the flower paintings and the backgrounds to show some kind of depth, between the two.

All the floral paintings represent flowers I have photographed, seen or planted in my small back garden.

Flowers never fail to present itself as a medium of Joy, life, love and happiness and in this series, I try to evoke some of the realities attached to flowers.

My illustrations are simple and have morphed from pen and ink drawings to abstract art my favorite genre in fine art.

When I draw and paint flowers, I always keep in mind my audience first and what would appeal to their innermost senses.

                                                                    Shop here

I ask myself questions like what flower arrangement would they like? what combination of colors do they gravitate to? and what kinds of flowers or plants are most loved? by everyone, including children.

                                                                           Sponsored

Then I start by visiting the florist store, garden shops and then read what's new or hot, in the flower and plant world.

I also check out interior decor publications, to see what's the new flower craze and how it is incorporated into the whole interior decor scheme.

I check out colors of flowers and juxtapose them on different shades and colors of cardboard, then I pick my color shades. This series is made on smooth paperboards to allow the Ink flow the size are all the same, 50cmx30cm.

That was how I created this art, because my entire art philosophy is color driven.

I love color, I use a lot of it and I am not afraid of experimenting with primary colors at its purest, as you can see, the colors are not tinted or diluted they are straight out of the Ink bottle unto the paper and left to dry for 3-5 days.

'Art is the Way I See It' I always say that and indeed I put that to practice in all my works, I hope these paintings bring you Joy, Happiness and love the way they were intended to........Enjoy.

ARTIST ART GEOMETRIC SHAPES AND LINES

Fine Arts begins with geometric shapes and lines. Are these shapes and lines the secret tool of the Artist? I always ask myself this question when I'm sketching down an idea for Art.

Our lives in lines: Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

When we see Circles, Cylinders, Torus(doughnut), Spheres, Squares, Rectangles and Triangles our minds immediately associate them with mathematics or sciences in general, but this is not so for the artist.

Rectangles and Squares: Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

The artist sees these,Shapes and lines as creative tools, used to create art pieces. This could be in the form of paintings, sculpting, drawing, designing and architecture.

Our lives in lines: Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

These geometric shapes, truly work with the artist and also shape the entire creative process of their
artwork, without any formal calculations or mathematical formulas. Allow me to further explain, the use of geometric shapes in art.

Squares and Circles: Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

For instance sketching a human face, neck and shoulder is simply to draw first, a sphere which represents the human  face, then proceed to draw a cylinder which represents the neck.

Circles on fire: Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

Then draw straight lines, shooting out  from both sides of the bottom of the cylinder as the shoulders, before getting down to the business of putting the entire facial expressions, light and shade in order.

It is that simple, the point I am making is simply the use of Shapes and lines, is a must when attempting any creative endeavor with a pen, pencil, chisel, brush,or even cutting paper for decoupage, lines are involved in the form of shapes.

In my abstract expression of the use of lines, I pay homage to Bauhaus Style, in its simplicity yet using lines and shapes, in a way that is both commanding, intriguing and fascinating.

Our lives in lines:Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

This Style is seen in design, art, architecture and lifestyle in general.

Universe: Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

My interpretation is a bit different, though not a complete departure from the Bauhaus Style, that is still so relevant today especially in design architecture.

                                       Travel/Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

In this case, this is my opinion on how lines play a part in my abstract expression of  geometric lines and shapes be my guest and...... Enjoy.
