SIMPLE HOME CRAFT IDEAS TO MAKE AND SELL.

Simple home crafts, are crafts that you make in your spare time, to beautify your home or sell.

Create heart-shaped decor, with broken colored glass, glue, thick paper boards,
grout for filling the empty spaces and decorate with ribbon.

The Idea behind home craft is inspired by our desire to create something, that is close to our hearts and we want to see it, around us in its real form.

So we simply create our inspirations and if it turns out well, it can even be a money spinner by the side, while we keep our day's job.

Rope empty bottles and add details, like wooden letters words, to enhance the decor on  the bottles.

Create children collage with a storybook theme, use puzzle cutouts and color these pieces, stick them on wood and you have a kiddies picture.

I enjoy creating stuff and also selling them in craft markets, whenever I can. Crafts takes quite some time to make, so I can only craft items during my Artist block moments, because making hand crafted products tend to help me relax,

Create Jewelry with wooden beads, ropes, and ribbons.

and bring back my focus to Art and I love that.

As an Applied Artist, making craft also gives me ideas, on mixed media Art and how best to extend my creativity.

Rope empty bottles and add details, like ribbons, borders,to enhance the decor on the bottles.

Create a textured collage with paper, fabric,
mat and frame it.

I don't always craft for fun, this is a serious aspect of my creative endeavor, I sell my craft and do take it seriously.

A lot of us are gifted and are looking to create extra income, crafts can provide that opportunity and you can sell to friends, colleagues and even family, by letting them know, about your craft products and its relevance to their lifestyle.

Crochet with thick cotton rope to make chunky storage basket.

Also, you can look out for outlets, that can sell on a commission for you or create a craft event, in your home where you invite people over for light snacks and sell your craft to them.

Cover empty Jars with Sisal rope, paint and decorate with spray paint.

Handmade Ideas Journals, with embossed paper, rope, post it, stamps and plain white sheets.

Attending weekend craft markets also is important because it helps to advertise your craft to a larger audience and you can earn more money, while still keeping your day job.

Plain glass vase, covered with white canvas and painted on with acrylic paint.

Crochet with thick cotton rope to make chunky storage basket.

These crafts I made, are from objects and materials I see potential in and enjoy working with, they are objects we find at home or in hardware stores.

I create with what is at my disposal, it gives me satisfaction that bottles,
broken glass, ropes, wood letters, paper and other finds can be put to use in a creative way that can also be monetized!.

Rope empty bottle and add details, like wooden letters words, to enhance the decor on the bottle.

These are some of the crafts I make and sell, I also hope this can inspire you, into getting your creative juices up! to make something, that is not only beautiful but rewarding too.....Enjoy

ART FACES AND EXPRESSIONS BY MIABO ENYADIKE

ART FACES AND EXPRESSIONS

Art is the way I see it!  created with any medium or material in hand to me. Creativity for me is about discovery, being on a journey of exploring new ideas in a way that speaks truth to who you are.

Some people say I create sympathetic Art, I wonder what that means, I hope to find that meaning one day when I'm less busy.....hmm.

Others, say I create Art that is nostalgic, also educational and creates an atmosphere of 'I can make it also spirit', I love that.

And then there are others, who say my Art is a bit confusing but the colors are absolutely joyous!

What can I say to all these remarks?, what I always say to anyone who asks about my 'complicated Art style' is this, Art to me is the way I see it, from within me, created on any object at hand in any medium I think, suits my vision regardless of what is trending or correct.

Instead, I chose to create that which I observe, in the way I understand and know it best. To convey an idea, event, humanity, and nature, telling a story and educating along the way.

I add my imagination to my truth and use it to create my observation of a person, place or event in the way it is processed in my mind. That way, I  interpret my vision in its purest and fullest.
PORTRAIT OF A LADY:MIXED MEDIA ART ON CORRUGATED PACKAGING: BY MIABO ENYADIKE

The objects or materials I use to create Art leans on the fact that Art, can be made out of nothing and does not have to cost a fortune, to create.

Instead, Art should Encourage, Inspire and Educate all, along the way. Creating awareness, imagination, dialog, and entertainment all locked in one.

The biggest inspiration for my Art is drawn from humanity and the diversity, that colors us all.
PORTRAIT OF A MAN:MIXED MEDIA ART ON JEANS PANTS: BY MIABO ENYADIKE

It is fascinating, to watch people and their reactions or just admire people in general regardless of race or ethnicity.

I love that! and my Art expresses that also. I am very fascinated, with how people from different cultures and races look and react to the same topics and events.

I just love to observe humanity and people paintings, forms 75% of my Art and creative process.

PROFILE OF A MAN:MIXED MEDIA ART ON CORRUGATED PACKAGING: BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Humanity is a gift, one that should be respected and cherished, we should be curious enough to want to know about others, their cultures and beliefs, to not condemn and look down on people that are different.

For me instead, I find out about people, and observe reactions and expressions of others.

Indeed not surprising, you will find out, that we are all the same in reactions and expressions, when familiar or similar events occur in our presence.
PROFILE OF A MAN:MIXED MEDIA ART ON CORRUGATED PACKAGING: BY MIABO ENYADIKE

All these purposed observations, is why I create Art the way I do, because the bottom line is, if the Art I create, resonates pleasantly with an audience, it does not matter the race, creed, religion or ethnicity, the reaction and expression would all be the same, 😄😄......Enjoy.

12 REASONS WHY WE LOVE PAINTING ABSTRACTS: ART BLOG BY MIABO ENYADIKE

What is the meaning of Abstract Art?... well the definition is relative, I will answer for myself as an Artist, who loves to work in abstracts. For me, it simply applies to Artworks, that use colors, shapes, objects, people or physical demonstration, to convey a narrative about people, places or things.

Nature's Colors' Abstract Art, Ink on paperboard by Miabo Enyadike.
                                                           ART FOR SALE

It is created in a way that is not immediately understood but leaves the audience in awe and wonder, of what it is that can be explained or made out of this Art they are witnessing.

Don't we all wonder? even experienced abstract Artist, sometimes find it hard to understand the Abstract Art, of another artist well, welcome to the club.

This is, why it is abstract! meaning existing in thoughts and ideas, devoid of any reality, in essence, its all in the mind of the Artist!

So you the audience is left to 'understand Abstract Art'.
So let's try and figure out what exactly it is that tickles our fancy?

After speaking to friends, Artist alike, Art enthusiasts and normal Art loving people like you and me, It was still a bit confusing.

Anyway, I decided I love these '12 Reasons' best and pardon me if you don't agree but these are some of the reasons.

1. THE AUDACITY OF THE ARTIST:
This is the creative ability, of the Artist to portray an event, story, people, nature or life in a way that is unfamiliar, to anyone except the artist.

It, always leaves us, questioning and baffled at the confidence, in which the artists try to convey their own narrative, without consideration of the audience just their own perspective.

Chaos' freshwater Reefs, Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

Without permission, or consultation but a one-track mind, of their idea and belief depicted in paint, canvas and objects for us to agree or disagree, is so awesome indeed and I love that.

2.THE FRESHNESS:
Come on! who doesn't love something new and spontaneous, with a free-spiritedness attached to it, in a way that is somewhat liberating......well I do.

3.THE APPEAL:

Abstract Art, is always a draw for the audience, they just want to be the ones to applaud and figure out, in an intellectual way

Face unknown: Abstract Art: Ink on paperboard: Miabo Enyadike  SOLD

what the Artist, was thinking and the reason, he came up with the idea in the first place. This must resonate with every Artist who has painted an Abstract work.

4.THE MYSTERY:

This is the aspect we love about Abstract Art, the mystery that surrounds the entire Art we are witnessing.

Sometimes, it is so breathtaking, that it leaves us in a state of 'euphoria' and in some kind of kindred spirit, with an Artist we haven't even met and may never meet......love that feeling.

5.INTRIGUE:

The way Abstract Art, arouses and excites us is something to wonder. The idea that something so meaningless can have such power over our senses, and people are willing to pay so much money, to acquire another person perspective of life is in itself powerful and intriguing, to say the least just..... love that.
More power to the Artist.

6.QUESTIONS:
They say knowledge is power, sometimes if not often, Abstract Art educates the mind and draws us, out of our comfort zone into

Distorted Society: Ink on paperboard: Abstract Art: Miabo Enyadike

very conflicting ideas, that make us ask real questions, about life and try to see things, the other way round from a different narrative.

7.THE THOUGHT PROCESS:

We wonder, what exactly the Artist was thinking when they decided to create either a shocking or totally confusing Art.
Yeah, we all think that sometimes. And when we are opportune, to ask the Artist, the answer is simple, that is their own perspective about an issue.

Spitting Sun: Ink on paperboard: Abstract Art: Miabo Enyadike

That is, just the way they see things and are brave enough, to 'Show and Tell'. For me, I always say, "Art is the way I see it" from within, regardless of how it looks in front of me.

8.MESSAGE:

What message?  some would ask of Abstract painting, they don't see any message, in it, they would say!. Until it is purchased for a $110 million. Then it has a message worth noting!
As an Artist, what more can I say..... I love Abstract Art and that is my message.

9.Freedom

The freedom it provides, to create that which is your idea of something,

Flowers in a vase: Abstract Art: Ink on paperboard: Miabo Enyadike.

is worth every second, spent creating an abstract artwork.

10: THE CRITIQUES:

Wow, most dreaded and loved by the Artist. We just love, to hate the critiques but trust me they do us a favor.
Unconsciously, they put our names, out there in their critiquing.

They make us, better ourselves and search, for more meaning in our Art.
Just imagine, the first impressionist exhibition in Paris without the outrage of the critiques, maybe we would not have known Picasso...... just saying?

11.AUDIENCE:

Yes, my favorite, the audience we need them period! they are witnesses, to our creativity and supporters, of our ideas on how life should look and feel.

Holiday on my mind: Mixed media Abstract Art:  Miabo Enyadike

They are our converts and followers, who carry our messages if any to places that create opportunities, for our abstract creativity to continue......love them.

12: THE ARTISTS
Last, but not the least, are all the Artist, who have dedicated their lives and talent telling stories through their Art, telling this world and the people in it, that life is simply not black and white, but a complicated narrative, laced with colors, issues, diversity in creed and culture.
That, still draws from us, all the same response and emotions, expecting us to form our own opinions, but still respect and appreciate our differences.

It is easy to see all this in Abstract Art, that is why we love Abstract Art...........ENJOY.

ABSTRACT ART PAINTINGS ON NATURE'S WRATH

The past months, if not the entire last year, was consumed by one natural disaster after another.

It was baffling and horrible to watch beautiful islands, countries and people being swept through, all kinds of tempestuous wrath of nature.

Nature's Wrath' Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

I wondered, how these disasters came about as I watched in horror, fear and then amazement, in awe of the power of these hurricane storms and wildfires, sweeping through the Caribbean and California, leaving behind devastation, chaos and deaths.

I Painted these events of nature and devastation, the way I imagined it in my mind and how it played out before my eyes on cable news.

I painted a series of these paintings with Ink on paper boards, as the medium and my style of painting could be seen as abstract expressionism or conceptual art.

People lost their livelihood, in the face of these devastation and one wonders how they intend to pick the pieces up!

Also how do they get the tourist back? and how do people start all over again? with all the destruction and fear that people, have seen and experienced.

In my lifetime, I have seen the resilience of the human spirit, our ability to adapt to whatever nature and life throws at us, as human beings and citizens of this earth, we know it is not the last wrath from nature.
