SILHOUETTE OF A WOMAN ABSTRACT ART EXPRESSIONISM | MIABO ENYADIKE

I observe people, especially women and the profile of a woman is such that it reflects more of who we are than our front facial expressions. That silent twitching of the lips or subtle frown or silent smile is easy to capture in our side profile.

This Silhouette of a woman painting is no different her emotions are easy to read, though flitting her Silhouette speaks for itself.

This is an Abstract Art Expressionism, made with Ink on Smooth paperboard, the Ink is gently dropped on the paper to create depth and texture.

ABSTRACT MIXED MEDIA, HUMANITY IN PAPERS. BY MIABO ENYADIKE

ABSTRACT MIXED MEDIA, HUMANITY IN PAPERS.  BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Humanity in Papers is an abstract art mixed media series that I have created, as a nuance to human frailty. The emphasis is on how humans, in all outward strength can be destroyed within by everyday unexpected, life-threatening issues that eat away our hearts and souls to pieces.

                 Enjoy and Thanks

ARTIST, 5 OTHER WAYS TO PROMOTE YOUR ART ! by MIABO ENYADIKE

ARTIST, 5 OTHER WAYS TO SELF PROMOTE YOUR ART SUCCESSFULLY! BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Art is truly in the eyes of the beholder, people tend to make a decision to buy your art after several views that is the way it works.  For some fewer views and they buy while for others several views before a collector purchase.

Abstract Flower Painting, Wall Art,  by Miabo Enyadike

The reason for these disparities are sometimes, name recognition could prompt a quick purchase or good presentation of your Art could be a factor.

While on the other hand poor presentation, costing, need, and relevance could lead to delays. The issues here are relative, there is no quick magic to sell your Art, you just have to put it out there for people to see and decide for themselves.

I have been fortunate to be in the Art business for over 20 years, so I have a bit of experience on how it goes, the disappointments and the highs work hand in hand with Artist and their Artworks, you just have to be dug in and reinvent yourself in order to remain relevant to your collectors and patrons.

So I have decided, to share the five go-to ways I use to self promote my Art and rein in the sales.

1.
Have Your Social Media Accounts do the Talking for You

Yes, you read well, allow your social media accounts to do the talking for your Art. Create Art accounts that speak about your Artworks, post constantly and tell stories around your Art that are compelling and fun that will draw in the audience and turn them into them into collectors.

I have created my accounts and I post constantly on a daily basis about my Artworks because that is my content that I share to a targeted audience.

I totally share my Art, on my social media pages constantly these platforms create for me an audience that view and follow what I do.

Facebook Instagram

Twitter

Blogger Pinterest

2.  Host Art Parties:
I love Art parties they are intimate and informal, it could be your birthday or you can create an event and let your guest know, that it is all about celebrating your new Artworks.

Provide good food and drinks create an informal ambiance, that makes your artworks the center of discussion

3.  Show Friends and Family What  You Do:
This is displaying your art in a rather informal setting. Invite family and friends and explain to them what your artwork is all about.

Art is word of mouth, they may not collect your work personally, but trust me they will talk about you and your artwork, and sometimes they help you spread it on social media and that can lead to sales.

4.   Create Workshops, Webinars, for Your Peers:
Everyone loves something that has meaning and impacts their lives. It could be workshops, webinars, and courses that help people.

As an Artist, it is a way for me
to self-promote my artworkIt is also all about helping other artists achieve the same success.

5.  Solo Exhibitions Via Collaborations:
Solo exhibitions are great but they entail a lot of money and most Artist cannot afford this. For me, I love solo exhibitions, that way my artwork gets all the attention and I can focus on selling to potential collectors.

The collaboration in this context is asking friends or family members who have influence and are in certain circles that can pull in the right crowd, to be part sponsors and you share a decent percentage of your sales with them.

These five ways are my own tried and tested ways that yielded good Art sales for me. I know there are other creative ways out there but at least, I have shared mine. ......Enjoy.

GUIDE TO MARKETING YOUR ART COURSE, BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Artist Guide Course On How To Market Your Art Online.

Introduction
The artist is one with a vivid imagination, a complex, yet beautiful and intense mind.

Our ability to observe and translate events, objects, humanity, lifestyle, and pain that we see around us, into a gift that is shared and received by all who see it and term it  'Creativity' is what oils our artistic wheels to keep moving.

It encourages us, artist, to keep on creating and expanding our gift, to the delight of our Audience.
What comes in between this creativity, is how the artist suffers in the name of their craft.

I know that because I have been there. It was difficult to get any gallery representation, for years I relied on friends heavily to buy my works because my Art style was misunderstood.
I basically create abstract Art with objects and my paintings are mostly Ink based on paperboards. It was really a financial burden to carry on working when no one around me was buying. So when the online selling platforms came on, I knew I had to get on board if I was to keep creating Art.

I joined the internet in 2013, opening my Art blog on blogger, I posted my first blog on bottles I had made and simply described how I made them and the views from people were staggering and the rest is history.

Today I sell via my blog and I have created a successful Art business, just by storytelling my Art, my own way without boundaries and reaping the full benefits of my hard work, as an independent unrepresented Artist.

I know the difficulty it entails to put this beauty, created by us called Artworks, out there best paintings, sculpture, graphics, fashion, pottery or ceramics, photography etc and be taken seriously by galleries, markets, dealers, collectors etc.....is a huge, if not a herculean task to bear.

That brings me to the issue, of the Internet and the artist. The Internet has created a platform for the artist that could be far-reaching than we artist anticipate.
An artist can make a living by the side, regardless of brick and mortar or huge financial commitment, just by uploading and clicking.  Whilst waiting for the big break, we all dream about and desire.

The Internet at least is on the side of the artist, the reason I say so is from my own experience.

That is why I have created this six weeks course, here in Johannesburg for unrepresented Artist. So join me for this course and learn how to represent yourself and earn the money you deserve.

You will learn:

-  Week 1: Understanding Digital Space

-  Week 2: Crafting your Product name and Story

-  Week 3: Creating your Brand Personality

-  Week 4:  Inbound Marketing

-  Week 5:  How to Sell Online

-  Week 6:  Physical Presentation of your Art

ARTIST AND THEIR PERSONAL STYLE | MIABO ENYADIKE.

ARTIST AND THEIR PERSONAL STYLE | MIABO ENYADIKE.

What is Your Art Style?
The Artist, especially the fine Artist is one that communicates their raw and true emotions through their work.

Underwater Coral Reefs Series; Abstract Art; Ink on paperboard; Miabo Enyadike.

The talent that is birth through these kinds of emotions from the Artist, is the Artwork we see them create time after time, giving it relevance regardless of their personal social status.

This for me is the definition of the Art style of an Artist.

Consistency is key as well as fluidity, an ability to play with all mediums and still be recognizable is the defining factor of an Artist with their own style.

Circles of Fire; Abstract Art; Ink on paperboard; Miabo Enyadike.

This style is not a trend!  but one that is given to the Artist as a personal vision and its instructed from within, so much so that even the Artist cannot really explain, how or run away from it, but can only translate this vision into reality.

Chaos;Abstract Art; Ink on paperboard;  Miabo Enyadike

Some might call it talent, I might agree but from a deeper sense, I would call it a gift was given by our maker.
Every Artist has their own true individual style and this is true to them only.

'Silhouette of a Woman';Abstract Art; Ink on paperboard;Miabo Enyadike.

That is why even Artist, trained in higher institutions with degrees and Artist that are self-taught really don't have any distinctions between them because the talent is talent plain and simple.

                                      Discover my Art in Saatchi.com/artmiabo
This is my personal view, don't get me wrong.  Out there, it is our style and the ability to communicate events, in a way that people can identify with.

The Family; Abstract Art; Ink on paperboard; Miabo Enyadike.

While pushing boundariescreating social media awareness and consciousness that is relevant
 to our world, that matters.

'The Dress'; Abstract Art; Ink on Paperboard; Miabo Enyadike.

Every other qualification becomes a bonus. I have a degree honors in Fine Applied Art since 1992, I remember how it felt like in class, I was some kind of renegade, I didn't quite 'fit in'.

I enjoyed Art classes, after all, we were left pretty much by ourselves to create Art.

'My Garden'; Abstract Art; Ink on paperboard; Miabo Enyadike.

I just was not satisfied. My lecturers didn't like the way I painted or drew objects. It just didn't look like, what my other course mates were doing.

'Lady'; Abstract Art; Ink on Paperboard; Miabo Enyadike

I did struggle a bit with the practical aspect of my course but excelled in Art history and every other theoretical aspect of my course outline.

Hence the reason after graduation, I worked in the oil servicing industry, abandoning my craft for a while.

                                    Discover my Art in Saatchi.com/artmiabo
I say this because there are gifted brilliant Artist out there, that may be in school or are self-taught Artist with a peculiar Art style that is different from others, my advice is simply don't give up, it is your God-given gift and style, own it and work it!

'I love myself'; Abstract Art;Ink on paperboard; Miabo Enyadike.

In the time it would be relevant and catch the audience that it appeals too at the right time.

I say this because the reason there is an enduring appeal, for the works of  Picasso, Kandinsky, Warhol, Jasper Johns, Dieter Roth, Chagall, Frida Kahlo just to name a few of these calibre of Artist and all the 20th century Movements from Impressionism,Expressionism, cubism to Dada, that we have studied and come to respect and adore, is simply their style and consistent loyalty, adamant almost fanatical faithfulness, to their own peculiar genius.

Distance; Abstract Art; Ink on paperboard;Miabo Enyadike.

Staying true to their inner vision of how they see the world, from within their soul.
From a fresh perspective, communicating it, in a way that allows the audience to explore  and enmesh, themselves in their world with them.

                                      Discover my Art in Saatchi.com/artmiabo

The peculiar style of the Artist will always come first, in the way we tell our story and the medium  in which it is communicated is our style as Artists.

It is what we have, it is our brand message.
It is what we sell, the technique we use and how it is applied is our formula for distinction.

Flower arrangement; Abstract Art; Ink on paperboard;Miabo Enyadike

I know I can speak for myself as an Artist, it took me time to come into my own style finally staying true to my vision.

Jekyll and Hyde; Abstract Art Ink on paperboard; Miabo Enyadike.

Now for me it is not about other excellent Art or Artist out there, but to admire and be encouraged by the work done by these brilliant minds.

Mother and Child fleeing Conflict Series; Abstract Art; Ink on Paper board; Miabo Enyadike

Whilst been grateful that I also have a vision and a dream, that can be translated into something that is tangible and appreciated, no matter the size of the audience or the platform.

 So the question goes again,
WHAT IS YOUR ART STYLE?......Enjoy.
