ABSTRACT ART PAINTING | TIDAL WAVES BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Tidal Waves

I love Sea gazing ( if I can describe watching the sea as that), for someone who can't swim it is really ironic. Being on the beach is a no brainer if I'm on holidays, I love to watch the waves go up and down like a rhythm.

Sometimes they really are huge, and different color reflections, embody these waves and I'm always in awe of natures power to create Art, out of nothing and best our imagination!

Enjoy.

SILHOUETTE OF A WOMAN ABSTRACT ART EXPRESSIONISM | MIABO ENYADIKE

I observe people, especially women and the profile of a woman is such that it reflects more of who we are than our front facial expressions. That silent twitching of the lips or subtle frown or silent smile is easy to capture in our side profile.

This Silhouette of a woman painting is no different her emotions are easy to read, though flitting her Silhouette speaks for itself.

This is an Abstract Art Expressionism, made with Ink on Smooth paperboard, the Ink is gently dropped on the paper to create depth and texture.

LEARN HOW TO SUPPORT YOUR ART CAREER, WITH THESE SIMPLE STEPS , BY MIABO ENYADIKE.

This March is the women's month and I have seen all sorts of support for Female Fine Artist by celebrities, and generally, people who support Art.

I also reckoned that this month, I should find a female Fine Artist, around our community to recognize and collaborate with as one, of the many female Fine Artist that exist on our planet.

'Bluebell Woods' Painting by Caroline Van Rensburg

This is especially because they inspire and still have much to offer in terms of their Art gifts and Skills, lifting up other Artists for me, is a no brainer as it helps the Art universe expand and elevates the Artist.

There are so many simple ways to lift and collaborate with other Artists, with shared experience and knowledge the uttermost, that is why Caroline Frances Janse Van Rensburg, a South African Female Artist who has over 40 years, of experience is an inspiration to me and those around her.

                                   Caroline Van Frances Janse Rensburg

I met Caroline a few years ago through a mutual friend Joan Jones, and as  I spent time in her studio and watched the vibe and the general atmosphere, people drank wine, juice, ate biscuits and chatted happily while they talked about serious issues. You could see the friendly banter, that showed this Art class was different!.

Everyone had a good Job, you could tell. I didn't ask, I heard from their conversations about work but the fact that they would rather come to an Art class after work hours, despite how stressful Johannesburg's hustle and bustle can be, seemed quite novel to me.

Fast forward to now,  Caroline, who is in her 80's has added a new portfolio to these classes, Kids.

This got me thinking, that perhaps, most female Artists need this kind of inspiring experience and
'Art multitasking'  because she is a Painter, Ceramist, Sculptor and a teacher Juggling all of these gifts cheerfully and getting by.

How does she do that? I wondered!

I sat down with Caroline and we had this long chat, ate loads of biscuits, while I listened to how simple these things could take place.

It all begins with you the Artist, being willing to Share.

Her Simple Career Steps:

I saw that with a flower illustration, she made some 30 yrs back.  I could immediately glean the commercial potential in this classic vintage flower illustration.

Vintage is back and for today's market, it was lovely to see this Art in its longevity. So, I decided to test it for myself, the results were marvelous! and fantastic.

2. Hard work Never hurts Any Artist!
She has worked hard all these years, creating an extensive portfolio and even now she is still creating Art, selling Art and working on commissions, attending art gatherings to support her career at Age 80+ years.

You can create a beautiful ambiance, for people to gather and learn from you, provide light meals in the cause of learning and charge a fair amount, watch and listen to people talk about issues that affect all of us, while you teach them, Art.

12 REASONS WHY WE LOVE PAINTING ABSTRACTS: ART BLOG BY MIABO ENYADIKE

What is the meaning of Abstract Art?... well the definition is relative, I will answer for myself as an Artist, who loves to work in abstracts. For me, it simply applies to Artworks, that use colors, shapes, objects, people or physical demonstration, to convey a narrative about people, places or things.

It is created in a way that is not immediately understood but leaves the audience in awe and wonder, of what it is that can be explained or made out of this Art they are witnessing.

Don't we all wonder? even experienced abstract Artist, sometimes find it hard to understand the Abstract Art, of another artist well, welcome to the club.

This is, why it is abstract! meaning existing in thoughts and ideas, devoid of any reality, in essence, its all in the mind of the Artist!

So you the audience is left to 'understand Abstract Art'.
So let's try and figure out what exactly it is that tickles our fancy?

After speaking to friends, Artist alike, Art enthusiasts and normal Art loving people like you and me, It was still a bit confusing.

Anyway, I decided I love these '12 Reasons' best and pardon me if you don't agree but these are some of the reasons.

1. THE AUDACITY OF THE ARTIST:
This is the creative ability, of the Artist to portray an event, story, people, nature or life in a way that is unfamiliar, to anyone except the artist.

It, always leaves us, questioning and baffled at the confidence, in which the artists try to convey their own narrative, without consideration of the audience just their own perspective.

Without permission, or consultation but a one-track mind, of their idea and belief depicted in paint, canvas and objects for us to agree or disagree, is so awesome indeed and I love that.

2.THE FRESHNESS:
Come on! who doesn't love something new and spontaneous, with a free-spiritedness attached to it, in a way that is somewhat liberating......well I do.

3.THE APPEAL:

Abstract Art, is always a draw for the audience, they just want to be the ones to applaud and figure out, in an intellectual way

what the Artist, was thinking and the reason, he came up with the idea in the first place. This must resonate with every Artist who has painted an Abstract work.

4.THE MYSTERY:

This is the aspect we love about Abstract Art, the mystery that surrounds the entire Art we are witnessing.

Sometimes, it is so breathtaking, that it leaves us in a state of 'euphoria' and in some kind of kindred spirit, with an Artist we haven't even met and may never meet......love that feeling.

5.INTRIGUE:

The way Abstract Art, arouses and excites us is something to wonder. The idea that something so meaningless can have such power over our senses, and people are willing to pay so much money, to acquire another person perspective of life is in itself powerful and intriguing, to say the least just..... love that.
More power to the Artist.

6.QUESTIONS:
They say knowledge is power, sometimes if not often, Abstract Art educates the mind and draws us, out of our comfort zone into

Distorted Society: Ink on paperboard: Abstract Art: Miabo Enyadike

very conflicting ideas, that make us ask real questions, about life and try to see things, the other way round from a different narrative.

7.THE THOUGHT PROCESS:

We wonder, what exactly the Artist was thinking when they decided to create either a shocking or totally confusing Art.
Yeah, we all think that sometimes. And when we are opportune, to ask the Artist, the answer is simple, that is their own perspective about an issue.

Spitting Sun: Ink on paperboard: Abstract Art: Miabo Enyadike

That is, just the way they see things and are brave enough, to 'Show and Tell'. For me, I always say, "Art is the way I see it" from within, regardless of how it looks in front of me.

8.MESSAGE:

What message?  some would ask of Abstract painting, they don't see any message, in it, they would say!. Until it is purchased for a $110 million. Then it has a message worth noting!
As an Artist, what more can I say..... I love Abstract Art and that is my message.

9.Freedom

The freedom it provides, to create that which is your idea of something,

Flowers in a vase: Abstract Art: Ink on paperboard: Miabo Enyadike.

is worth every second, spent creating an abstract artwork.

10: THE CRITIQUES:

Wow, most dreaded and loved by the Artist. We just love, to hate the critiques but trust me they do us a favor.
Unconsciously, they put our names, out there in their critiquing.

They make us, better ourselves and search, for more meaning in our Art.
Just imagine, the first impressionist exhibition in Paris without the outrage of the critiques, maybe we would not have known Picasso...... just saying?

11.AUDIENCE:

Yes, my favorite, the audience we need them period! they are witnesses, to our creativity and supporters, of our ideas on how life should look and feel.

Holiday on my mind: Mixed media Abstract Art:  Miabo Enyadike

They are our converts and followers, who carry our messages if any to places that create opportunities, for our abstract creativity to continue......love them.

12: THE ARTISTS
Last, but not the least, are all the Artist, who have dedicated their lives and talent telling stories through their Art, telling this world and the people in it, that life is simply not black and white, but a complicated narrative, laced with colors, issues, diversity in creed and culture.
That, still draws from us, all the same response and emotions, expecting us to form our own opinions, but still respect and appreciate our differences.

It is easy to see all this in Abstract Art, that is why we love Abstract Art...........ENJOY.
