12 REASONS WHY WE LOVE PAINTING ABSTRACTS: ART BLOG BY MIABO ENYADIKE

What is the meaning of Abstract Art?... well the definition is relative, I will answer for myself as an Artist, who loves to work in abstracts. For me, it simply applies to Artworks, that use colors, shapes, objects, people or physical demonstration, to convey a narrative about people, places or things.

Nature's Colors' Abstract Art, Ink on paperboard by Miabo Enyadike.

It is created in a way that is not immediately understood but leaves the audience in awe and wonder,of what it is that can be explained or made out of this Art they are witnessing.

Don't we all wonder? even experienced abstract Artist, sometimes find it hard to understand the Abstract Art, of another artist well, welcome to the club.

This is, why it is an abstract! meaning existing in thoughts and ideas, devoid of any reality, in essence its all in the mind of the Artist!

Red burst Abstract, Art Mixed Media by Miabo Enyadike.

So you the audience is left to 'understand Abstract Art'.
So lets try and figure out what exactly it is that tickles our fancy?

After speaking to friends, Artist alike, Art enthusiasts and normal Art loving people like you and I, It was still a bit confusing.

Anyway, I decided I love these '12 reasons' best and pardon me if you don't agree but these are some of the reasons .

1. THE AUDACITY OF THE ARTIST:
This is the creative ability, of the Artist to portray an event, story, people, nature or life in a way that is unfamiliar, to anyone except the artist.

It, always leaves us, questioning and baffled at the confidence, in which the artists tries to convey their own narrative, without consideration of the audience just their own perspective.

Chaos' freshwater Reefs, Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

Without permission, or consultation but a one track mind, of their idea and belief depicted in paint, canvas and objects for us to agree or disagree, is so awesome indeed and I love that.

2.THE FRESHNESS:
Come on! who doesn't love something new and spontaneous, with a free spiritedness attached to it, in a way that is somewhat liberating......well I do.

3.THE APPEAL:

Abstract Art, is always a draw for the audience, they just want to be the ones to applaud and figure out, in an intellectual way

Face unknown: Abstract Art:Ink on paperboard: Miabo Enyadike

what the Artist, was thinking and the reason, he came up with the idea in the first place. This must resonate with every Artist who has painted an Abstract work.

4.THE MYSTERY:

This is the aspect we love about Abstract Art, the mystery that surrounds the entire Art, we are witnessing.
Deconstruct Rainbow'   Abstract Art: Ink on paperboard: Miabo Enyadike

Sometimes, it is so breathtaking, that it leaves us in a state of 'euphoria' and in some kind of kindred spirit, with an Artist we haven't even met and may never meet......love that feeling.

5.INTRIGUE:

The way Abstract Art, arouses and excites us is something to wonder, the idea that something so meaningless, can have such power over our senses, and people are willing to pay so much money, to acquire another person perspective of life, is in itself is powerful and intriguing, to say the least just..... love that.
More power to the Artist.

6.QUESTIONS:
They say knowledge is power, sometimes if not often, Abstract Art educates the mind and draws us, out of our comfort zone into

Distorted Society: Ink on paperboard: Abstract Art: Miabo Enyadike

very conflicting ideals, that make us ask real questions, about life and try to see things, the other way round from a different narrative.

7.THE THOUGHT PROCESS:

We wonder, what exactly the Artist was thinking, when they decided to create either a shocking or totally confusing Art.
Yeah, we all think that sometimes. And when we are opportuned, to ask the Artist, the answer is simple, that is the their own perspective about an issue.

Spitting Sun: Ink on paperboard: Abstract Art: Miabo Enyadike

That is, just the way they see things and are brave enough, to 'Show and Tell'. For me, I always say, "Art is the way I see it" from within, regardless of how it looks in front of me.

8.MESSAGE:

What message?  some would ask of an Abstract painting, they don't see any message, in it they would say!. Until it is purchased for a $110 million. Then it has a message worth noting!
As an Artist, what more can I say..... I love Abstract Art and that is my message.

9.Freedom

The freedom it provides, to create that which is your idea of something,

Flowers in a vase: Abstract Art: Ink on paperboard: Miabo Enyadike.

is worth every second, spent creating an abstract artwork.

10:THE CRITIQUES:

Wow, most dreaded and loved by the Artist. We just love, to hate the critiques but trust me they do us a favor.
Unconsciously, they put our names, out there in their critiquing.

They make us, better ourselves and search, for more meaning in our Art.
Just imagine, the first impressionist exhibition in Paris without the outrage of the critiques, maybe we would not have known Picasso...... just saying?

11.AUDIENCE:

Yes, my favorite, the audience we need them period! they are witnesses, to our creativity and supporters, of our ideas on how life should look and feel.

Holiday on my mind: Mixed media Abstract Art:  Miabo Enyadike

They are, our converts and followers, who carry our messages, if any to places that creates opportunities, for our abstract creativity to continue......love them.

12: THE ARTISTS
Last, but not the least, are all the Artist, who have dedicated their lives and talent telling, through their Art, telling this world and the people in it, that life is simply not black and white, but a complicated narrative, laced with colors, issues, diversity in creed and culture.
That, still draws from us, all the same response and emotions, expecting us to form our own opinions, but still respect and appreciate our differences.

It is easy to see all this in Abstract Art, that is why we love Abstract Art...........ENJOY.

HOW TO USE EMPTY BOTTLES FOR DECOR AND EVENTS' ABSTRACT ART AND CRAFT BLOG. BY MIABO ENYADIKE

                  Untitled;abstract mixed media;miabo enyadike
What can we do, with empty bottles?
What kind of bottles, do we find laying around our homes, the areas we reside in and our work place.

Colours 'Unity in diversity'; abstract art;miabo enyadike
what can we do with these bottles after use?
Throw them away or maybe, turn them into valuable pieces, making them useful again.

At any given time,we have bottles lying around our homes and we have cause to throw them away.

Roped in love;abstract mixed media; miabo enyadike

What if you don't throw them away,
or don't let them, become part of the refuse or garbage.

Some people will argue, that they clog or clutter and litter your space.
That they have become part of the reason, why our environment has become endangered.

Untitled; Mixed Color Rope bottles miabo enyadike.
Now, this does not sound attractive, so what can we do about them? or
what can we do with them?
How can used bottles, enhance our lives financially or otherwise?.

The reality is they can!.
1.They could be turned into functional pieces like decor pieces, flower vases, accessories.

They could be made over, into stylish aesthetic pieces, that add to collectibles.

And maybe, the missing link to a fabulous living space.

2.A recycling business could be borne out of bottles, basically collecting empty bottles from eateries, homes, business premises for free or for a token fee.

And reselling to businesses who need these bottles.

ART AND COLOR LIGHT SWITCH COVERS' ABSTRACT ART BLOG BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Light switch covers are fixtures that we sometimes take for granted. The design is simple and white, most of them anyway. They come unattractive, only functional to switch on and of lighting.
$11.95
These days that has changed, for a recent project, I was asked to create artsy light covers for an art collectors home with some of my Abstract Art paintings, that was really exciting for me to create that range.

$11.95
The most interesting aspect of the light covers for me was when they where installed in this home, they really stood out in the minimalist interior decor they were juxtaposed with.

Art, Design and Interior decorating all go together.

You don't have to be a visual or fine artist to be a very successful interior decorator or designer,
you just have to have the passion and drive to go with the flow of arranging colors, patterns, floor plans, mood boards and style boards, with the genius...of translating them into a stunning and practicable interior.

That is, my rather artsy take on design.
I love to see things differently, and that has always been my drive in design.
My passion as an interior decorator, with a knack for the quirky is one of the reasons I decided to place my Art on these items, that appeal not only to me but to other people out there, looking for something different.

This time around I have put my Art on light switch covers.
They are not only different, but would raise questions about my intent, and what exactly is she thinking?,
or did you not see that?, hmm I asked myself the same questions but one thing is certain,........ I LOVE THEM ALL!

                              ENJOY.

ENTANGLED ART PLATTERS AND BOWLS' ABSTRACT ART OBJECTS AND CRAFT BY MIABO ENYADIKE

           The Entanglement;Abstract Art;Rope plate

After a recent health scare, I was told by my physician,  to take it easy and reduce my workload.

I was a bit confused, by my doctor's advice........ hello! what planet is he from.

The Entanglement;  Abstract Art; Rope  plate sculpture; 2015; Miabo Enyadike

I am a fine artist, we are the most laid back people on this planet, free spirited and without barriers.
We are stuck, in a world we have created, for ourselves outside the existing one we all live in.

Some of us fine or visual artist, belong to era's long gone and live that way, in present times without a care in the world.
The Entanglement;  Abstract Art; Rope   bowl

I for one is stuck in the 1980's, I listen to 80's singer Evelyn king, 'love come down' and Kool and the Gangs,'get down on it' every day,  it's part of my daily routine, how cool is that!

Having said all that, I knew my doctor, only meant well and just wanted me well rested and less stressed, before my next visit.

I knew deep down, that he was right because I'd become entangled, in too many activities and have not had a break, in a long while.

The Entanglement; Abstract Art; Rope bowl

There is always something new to do,adding to my long list of work, and activities.
Sometimes I wonder, how in heaven's name, I created the time, for some of them that are so exhausting and unnecessary.

The Entanglement; Abstract Art; Rope bowl

I decided to turn this period of rest,to reflect on life and how we get ourselves entangled, in all sorts of activities.

Good or bad, in anticipation of a result, that reflects the reason we got entangled in the first place.
                         Saatchi art/artmiabo

As an Artist, the only way I could answer for myself and take responsibility, to reduce my workload was to translate my rather hectic lifestyle, into art bowls.

Materials Needed:
Cotton Rope
plastic bag to cover mold bowl
glue and brush
Spray Paint
Matt  Varnish
Simple Steps:

Cover bowl with Plastic bag as your mold

Holiday Gifts

Brush Pva Glue all over plastic covering

=Wrap Rope around bowl, gluing and wrapping continuously until satisfied with covering.
=Leave to dry for 24 hrs, after it is dry, then gently pull out bowl from underneath the plastic covering.
=Remove plastic covering from the formed rope bowl, trim edges and prime with white acrylic paint.
=Leave to dry for another 3 hrs then spray paint the colors you want after it is dry, then  varnish with Matt Acrylic.

I created these bowls, with ropes and plastic bags, with the intention of

The Entanglement;  Abstract Art; Rope  plate.
expressing my own interpretation, of how hectic and entangled my life and so many lives, out there have become and sometimes for what..........? Enjoy.
