UNDERSTANDING ABSTRACT MODERN ART BY MIABO ENYADIKE.

Abstract Modern Art speaks out even when we remain silent in our thoughts...Abstract Art, is one aspect of Fine Art, I love. This type of Art expression, allows you to be you!

It creates, a kind of curiosity and a sense of wonder, around the artist.
Typically, one is always intrigued, when they view an abstract painting or Art in general.

The difference with abstract art is the 'How','Why' and 'What' the....! question.

I always try to put myself, in the shoes of the artist, of course wondering, if I could have delivered the same message, differently. Or if I get the message at all.

Then I put myself, in the shoes, of the audience.

Trying to see the message, in the work or the beauty and breathtaking skill and color, that has been woven into a story.

That could be interpreted, in any language, without really delivering any message, but just uplifts, the soul.

Trust me I have been in both shoes severally and I love it.

 I don't try to read any message when buying art, it just has to uplift me when I look at  it.

And when I create art, especially abstract Art, it should uplift, and secure curiosity that delights, the hearts and soul of the audience.

It should also be, interpreted by them, in their own language and terms, regardless, of what I title it.

Art is for us too...... Enjoy.

ABSTRACT MODERN ART, MAZE PAINTINGS, BY MIABO ENYADIKE

ABSTRACT ART, MAZE PAINTINGS, BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Art for me is expressive and deepens the narrative on issues and situations we find ourselves trapped in.

These abstract art paintings, that I have made, tells the story.

Our world is built around a maze one that we either create for ourselves or one we find ourselves trapped in.

Life puts us in those situations, that make us wonder how we got there, in the first place and why me?.

 We run back and forth thinking of these issues, but find out at the end, we are still in them no way out.

When we look at issues that affect our lives globally, no matter what is promised, we are still in them.

These could be climate change, economic meltdown, senseless wars, migrant issues, poverty, unknown disease outbreak.

The list just goes on and the maze gets more complicated and terrifying with a silent, rather frustrating slow way of informing us, that there is almost no way out.

The good news, for me, that I rest on, is life is dynamic and adaptive.

It lets us push on, discovering new ways, to get out of this maze of fear, no matter how frustrating and difficult it is, there will always be a way out.....Enjoy.

HOMELESS MAN; ART ILLUSTRATION BY MIABO ENYADIKE.

We just celebrated father's day, last Sunday and everywhere had signs or display, saluting fathers.

The social media was buzzing with all of us trying to outdo each other, with greetings and outpouring of love, to all the fathers we know out there.
It was indeed wonderful and fathers felt loved.

The restaurant, we were having fathers
 day lunch was packed with families and there they were, all the fathers.

Obviously enjoying all the attention and beaming with pride, for having been recognized, at last by their families that they are in charge.

Then it struck me, right across the street sat a very disheveled man, with very tired bloodshot eyes, just staring at something that was not there.
He could not have been staring at the cars that drove, certainly not the people who walked past and not even in the direction, of the restaurants as there were different eateries around.

He just stared straight at something, maybe just wondering what the fuss the entire day was about.
Then the questions came to mind, what went wrong with this dear man? How on earth did he get to this level? where is his family? does he have kids? if he does, where are they? the questions just went on and on.

That man was simply the inspiration for this Ink painting, I did on newspaper.
I have been in the presence of homeless people, and it is heart-wrenching when you sit down with them and have a chat without any prior judgment or superiority and they each, have a story to tell.

Heartbreaking ones and some of the stories are so tall, you wonder how on earth they expect you to believe it.
The simple truth, is let us all stop asking questions, about how they found themselves there.

Rather what can we as individuals,  society, a nation, and the world collectively do about it.

Thank goodness, for the unrelenting journalist and media companies, out there that keep us informed of events around the world.
THE HOMELESS MAN; INK ON NEWSPAPER; ILLUSTRATION;  130CM,120CM;

Indirectly telling us, that now on this earth and the times that we live in been homeless is endemic.
It is brought directly to our homes, neighborhood, countries, whether affluent or not.

Through no making of own, these horrible and rather devastating events, just creep in slowly and disrupt our lives abruptly.

THE HOMELESS MAN; INK ON NEWSPAPER; ILLUSTRATION;  130CM,120CM;

These events could be Foreclosure, Finance, senseless wars, drug addiction, that rips families apart and in a twinkle of an eye are made destitute, refugees, homeless.
Nature just being nature, has its part to play as well.
THE HOMELESS MAN; INK ON NEWSPAPER; ILLUSTRATION;  130CM,120CM;

And one wonders, who is safe? no one is immune to it! Let's be grateful and thankful, but most of all stop asking questions and be our brother' keeper.
.........Enjoy.
