Art Exhibition Season, has already kicked off around the world, with Artist exhibiting new work, or just simply putting there work out there to create awareness for their craft, which is awesome though daunting.
We need, for people to see what we have been up to, lately in our studios and how we will inspire and tell our stories differently, from a 'Creative' point of view.

That in itself, is exciting to me. I will be doing,a Solo exhibition in Lagos, Nigeria West Africa, next month titled INSPIRE.

The exhibition is aimed at inspiring people, to look deep at the ordinary and reflect, in its greatness.

The exhibition will express, my desire as an artist, to bridge the gap between Art and design, using very basic ordinary objects, to create Art.

You are all invited..... Enjoy.

These heart mixed media art, where designed with fabric cuts and placed on magazine cutouts, then placed on crochet mats.
Creating these mixed media collage, was exciting for me as it will be, displayed on Valentines day, at a friends restaurant.
Valentine season is here, and our thoughts are on how to spend the day with people we love and care for.

We can start by thinking, of ways to make that the day special for people, we love and truly appreciate.
For me it is making art and craft, the way I know with the sole intention of giving it out, to everyone special to me.
We always want to share, that day expressing our love, in several ways. The top of our list is giving out gifts.
These days our Valentine day could be spent, with charities we support and
projects that are dear to our hearts, or the most important our loved ones.

Whatever way we intend to spend Valentine's day, the giving of gifts, is what makes the day.

I share with you,my handmade Valentine mixed edia art and gift, made with love.............ENJOY!.

What is the meaning of Abstract Art?... well the definition is relative, I will answer for myself as an Artist, who loves to work in abstracts. For me, it simply applies to Artworks, that use colors, shapes, objects, people or physical demonstration, to convey a narrative about people, places or things.

                                                           ART FOR SALE

It is created in a way that is not immediately understood but leaves the audience in awe and wonder, of what it is that can be explained or made out of this Art they are witnessing.

Don't we all wonder? even experienced abstract Artist, sometimes find it hard to understand the Abstract Art, of another artist well, welcome to the club.

This is, why it is abstract! meaning existing in thoughts and ideas, devoid of any reality, in essence, its all in the mind of the Artist!

So you the audience is left to 'understand Abstract Art'.
So let's try and figure out what exactly it is that tickles our fancy?

After speaking to friends, Artist alike, Art enthusiasts and normal Art loving people like you and me, It was still a bit confusing.

Anyway, I decided I love these '12 Reasons' best and pardon me if you don't agree but these are some of the reasons.

This is the creative ability, of the Artist to portray an event, story, people, nature or life in a way that is unfamiliar, to anyone except the artist.

It, always leaves us, questioning and baffled at the confidence, in which the artists try to convey their own narrative, without consideration of the audience just their own perspective.

Chaos' freshwater Reefs, Abstract Art by Miabo Enyadike

Without permission, or consultation but a one-track mind, of their idea and belief depicted in paint, canvas and objects for us to agree or disagree, is so awesome indeed and I love that.

Come on! who doesn't love something new and spontaneous, with a free-spiritedness attached to it, in a way that is somewhat liberating......well I do.

Abstract Art, is always a draw for the audience, they just want to be the ones to applaud and figure out, in an intellectual way

what the Artist, was thinking and the reason, he came up with the idea in the first place. This must resonate with every Artist who has painted an Abstract work.

This is the aspect we love about Abstract Art, the mystery that surrounds the entire Art we are witnessing.

Sometimes, it is so breathtaking, that it leaves us in a state of 'euphoria' and in some kind of kindred spirit, with an Artist we haven't even met and may never that feeling.

The way Abstract Art, arouses and excites us is something to wonder. The idea that something so meaningless can have such power over our senses, and people are willing to pay so much money, to acquire another person perspective of life is in itself powerful and intriguing, to say the least just..... love that.
More power to the Artist.

They say knowledge is power, sometimes if not often, Abstract Art educates the mind and draws us, out of our comfort zone into

Distorted Society: Ink on paperboard: Abstract Art: Miabo Enyadike

very conflicting ideas, that make us ask real questions, about life and try to see things, the other way round from a different narrative.

We wonder, what exactly the Artist was thinking when they decided to create either a shocking or totally confusing Art.
Yeah, we all think that sometimes. And when we are opportune, to ask the Artist, the answer is simple, that is their own perspective about an issue.

That is, just the way they see things and are brave enough, to 'Show and Tell'. For me, I always say, "Art is the way I see it" from within, regardless of how it looks in front of me.

What message?  some would ask of Abstract painting, they don't see any message, in it, they would say!. Until it is purchased for a $110 million. Then it has a message worth noting!
As an Artist, what more can I say..... I love Abstract Art and that is my message.

The freedom it provides, to create that which is your idea of something,

is worth every second, spent creating an abstract artwork.

Wow, most dreaded and loved by the Artist. We just love, to hate the critiques but trust me they do us a favor.
Unconsciously, they put our names, out there in their critiquing.

They make us, better ourselves and search, for more meaning in our Art.
Just imagine, the first impressionist exhibition in Paris without the outrage of the critiques, maybe we would not have known Picasso...... just saying?

Yes, my favorite, the audience we need them period! they are witnesses, to our creativity and supporters, of our ideas on how life should look and feel.

Holiday on my mind: Mixed media Abstract Art:  Miabo Enyadike

They are our converts and followers, who carry our messages if any to places that create opportunities, for our abstract creativity to them.

Last, but not the least, are all the Artist, who have dedicated their lives and talent telling stories through their Art, telling this world and the people in it, that life is simply not black and white, but a complicated narrative, laced with colors, issues, diversity in creed and culture.
That, still draws from us, all the same response and emotions, expecting us to form our own opinions, but still respect and appreciate our differences.

It is easy to see all this in Abstract Art, that is why we love Abstract Art...........ENJOY.

As an Artist, I try to find other ways to monetize my art apart from exhibitions, blogging, markets, and fairs. Other avenues for me, to advertise and monetize my art are licensing on products and workshops.

This particular blog is on products-Tote bags, which has my art printed on them, that in itself is a subtle way of advertising my artworks, through fashion and style.

Art Printed products come in handy for the artist, to still make money on the side while we wait, for the big painting sale.

These small collaborations here and there, help the artist, bottom line.
Every Artist knows the difficulties of getting any sort of funding, for our projects and it can be quite discouraging.

These online platforms allow us to extend our creativity, by Licencing art on their products, while creating a brand and retail business, around them.

With the right products and tags, your creativity gets seen, around the world without much expenditure.

I can only write about the ones I know of and use, it involves hard work and constant sharing, of your creative designs, through social media and newsletters.
These, are the platforms that I'm, familiar with,

Below are the sites I monetize my art on:

In this day and age of fierce entrepreneurship, it is important as artists, to be in the game.

This is so important and cannot be overemphasized
or taken for granted, because we are the creatives and our imaginative process, can only be translated by us.

It is a gift that keeps on giving and must be harnessed and utilized, to its fullest.

Hence the internet, with all its juicy platforms enables our dreams to be realized.

These tote bags represent my Art and these are gorgeous all-over printed tote bags features sturdy, weather-resistant fabric and dual 100% natural cotton bull denim shoulder straps.

And one can make a beautiful, artful statement with this standout, all-season  Tote Bags - whether on an afternoon stroll around town or a weekend out of town.

I love how my Art, is a statement and is enjoyed by those who love Art and Style.....Enjoy

How do these platforms work, you simply create art that you can download on their products, they have the software to assist you in your creativity.

look out for brands that suit your kind of art. These other brands could be

Society 6
Deviant art
fine art America

I speak for the ones I use and they currently sell my art and designs for me with stated commissions and I have done quite well so far!

I would advise that you build a good body of work as an artist in order to proceed on this kind of monetization so you don't overstretch your art.
