The London Pop Up Art Summer Edition will be held on 6th - 8th June 2018, 10 am- 18 pm (Opening Reception Jun 6th, 18 - 21 pm)

The London Pop Up Art Fair is hosted by Sunny Art Centre in the heart of the city London. This art fair is intended to be a launch pad for the very best young and emerging artists from across the UK and the world. You will be able to immerse yourself in a place filled with many different contemporary artists, from painters, illustrators, graphic designers, 3D artists, to ceramic and jewelry designers, you will explore a great gamut of practices.

The Pop Up Art Fair is scheduled every three months and takes place over two whole days, typically a Thursday - Friday. The fair will give you a chance to mingle with a variety of talented artists and art enthusiasts. Our expert team of curators constantly works to bring the best cutting edge artists whose practice are not only local but national and international as well. Oriel Davies Open 2018 - Call for entries
Oriel Davies’ biennial, open submission exhibition, ODO, is now live with a call for entries. ODO has a longstanding reputation for having showcased work by some of the most exciting emerging and established artists from across the UK and beyond.

The aim of the Royal Arts Prize Exhibition and Award is to search out for and showcase artworks by artists that have embraced their individual exegesis in art, artworks that are a product of an inner balance in a world full of diversity and often chaos.
The prize will be awarded to artists that present works that are the product of this emotional connection between dream and reality; we welcome contemporary art that shows the force driving individuals to express and affirm their personality and ego, through today’s modern art landscape.
The Exhibition will take place at La Galleria Pall Mall, located in the Royal Opera Arcade on prestigious Pall Mall, within the cultural centre of London, close to the National Gallery and the St James’s area of galleries.
Founded in 2006, we are a full time commercial gallery established and designed to showcase and sell a wide diversity of art across all media and subjects.
All media is accepted; paintings, prints, illustrations, collages, digital art, photography, sculptures, ceramics, glass, jewellery and other.
Each selected artist can showcase 4 pieces of small/medium sized artworks.

Opportunity Description
International Deadline: January 31, 2018 – The PrattMWP College of Art & Design Gallery, now located in the renowned art museum, Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in Utica, NY, awards exhibitions to emerging to mid-career artists working in a range of media.
Throughout the year, the selected exhibitions support the PrattMWP College of Art & Design students and provide cultural enrichment to the surrounding community. Selected artists are also invited to give gallery talks to students and community members.
Gallery Submissions Process 2018/2019 Academic Year
We are accepting proposals from artists working in all media, artists working sculpturally are encouraged to apply, though all media will be accepted. Anticipated exhibition dates will be held in the months of October, November, and Late-January to Early-February. Artists selected will receive a stipend, meals during installation, exhibition postcard, and a catered reception. Accommodations will also be provided for up to 2 days in a nearby hotel.
Selected artists will be given the opportunity to offer a gallery talk/and/or presentation to PrattMWP students and community members during the reception. The gallery awards solo, as well as two-person, and three-person exhibitions. In your cover letter, please specify which you would prefer and which you would not be able to do.
o    Lighting: Track Lighting with LED fixtures throughout the gallery
o    Walls: ½” Plywood covered by 5/8 wall board over metal studs, painted.
o    Floor: Hardwood floors, varnished
o    Parameters: Only works of art that fit in the elevator, and are able to clear the doorway into the gallery are permitted in the space. Elevator dimensions: Doorway; 39” x 80” (WxH) Interior; 50” x 62” x 90” (LxWxH) Use of back entrance to staircase in Gallery for larger pedestals and “somewhat larger” works of art will occasionally be permitted.
o    Provisions: We provide some hardware, as well as a limited supply of pedestals and wall shelves.

Application is free. Submission of applications are only accepted online.
International artists: Please take the following into consideration: International artists are responsible for obtaining a visa, as well as necessary documentation for travel and employment within the United States. MWPAI can provide formal letters of invitation and additional support information requested, however it is the artist’s responsibility to carry the burden of the visa acquisition process through the appropriate channels. Please consider the timeline for making such arrangements. Artists must be reasonably fluent in English.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
Kingsbrae International Residence for the Arts (KIRA) will award up to fifteen artists with one month residencies in St. Andrews, New Brunswick Canada. Artists will be provided with an individual studio space, comfortable housing, up to two prepared meals each day and a stipend. Artists will live on a historic property in a beautiful seaside town and work in studios located on the property. The residence is within walking distance of the down town, however artists should bring all materials needed for their creative process when they arrive, as supplies and provisions are limited in town. As part of the residency, artists will be asked to engage with the community for up to six hours a week. These engagements for each artist will vary based on skills and interest and can include a partnership with the Kingsbrae Garden which is located steps away from the residence and studios.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
Fogo Island Arts is seeking applications for its international residency program from artists working in a wide range of disciplines. Residencies will take place in Spring and Fall 2018 and 2019.

Fogo Island Arts residencies provide opportunities for artists to live and work on Fogo Island for one to two months. Artists-in-residence are provided with a studio, accommodation in a traditional Newfoundland home, a vehicle for on-island use, and a weekly stipend to offset the costs of materials and day-to-day living expenses. Most travel expenses are covered. Artists-in-residence must give one public presentation, performance, workshop, or similar event during their residency.

2018 Call for artists. La Macina di San Cresci, Italy
Join us for an incredibly beautiful Artist Residency in Tuscany, Italy 2018!
Description of residency program
Find inspiration in the timeless Tuscan countryside!  Live and work in the shadow of the oldest church in all of Chianti, built in the 10th century, painstakingly restored by two lifelong art lovers skilled in design and architecture.  La Macina di San Cresci overlooks the classic Tuscan town of Greve in Chianti and is located just a short drive from Florence and Siena.
La Macina di San Cresci is a unique place where artists can live and work together in historic buildings surrounded by gorgeous hillsides dotted with vineyards and olive groves.  La Macina offers guest artists the chance to recharge and reset by enjoying walks in the countyside, moonlit dinners in the garden with plenty of delicious food, wine, and friends, and a spacious studio to create new work. La Macina operates year around and accepts residency applications on a rolling basis (there are no deadlines!).
At La Macina, artists can find whatever sort of process they need; we have a thriving and close-knit community made up of visiting artists and local friends, but there is plenty of peace and quiet for those who seek relaxation and escape.  Residents can take classes in fresco, watercolor, Florentine artisanal upholstery, paper decoration, and more. Artists will also can explore the surrounding areas on outings to local sites with cultural and historical significance.  We are happy to arrange other activities, like Italian language lessons and cooking classes.
We actively promote the work of all our artists through exhibition, open studios, and features on our website and social media.  We also publish a yearbook called “The Artistic Time” to share the work of all our resident artists with our network.  
Duration of residency
The duration of this residency program is minimum one week and maximum three months.
Disciplines, work equipment and assistance
Are invited to apply for the residency artists working in the following creative disciplines: drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, new media, installation, fiction and nonfiction writing, poetry, dance, music ( there is a restored organ available in the church), interdisciplinary, design and architecture.
La Macina staff work closely with each resident to facilitate the space, knowledge and collaborative opportunities with artists, curators, local residents and other organizations necessary for their work.
Accommodation
The house is in a very silent and peaceful area, far about 2,5 km from the town of Greve in Chianti (15 minutes walking).
Facilities are very basic and not suitable for people with special needs.
Residents live in private rooms. Kitchen, living room and bathroom are shared. Linen and towel are provided.
The House is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, oven, frigidaire and other electric appliances Wireless internet access is available.
Cooking is done individually or shared by the group as desired.
Partners and families are welcome! Ask for a quote.
Studio/ workspace
Type and size of studios:
- Ample 45 m2 studios, suitable for painting, sculpture and installations. Access directly from the square
- Historic cellars (220 m2) divided into different areas and shared by the artists.
All studios are open 24 hours a day. The entire centre is wireless equipped.
The adjacent consacred Church can be used for special works, like installation or music recorder.
In the Church that is an old Organ restored available for musicians.
We suggest to bring your laptop. One communal computer has been set up for resident artists to share in the studio.
Facilities include meeting table, a black and white photography darkroom, video projector, amplification system, projection screen, digital piano, basic handtools, easels, air compressor and electric stapler, basic tools for wood.
In the office there are three printers A4 black and white / color, scanner and copier.
Fees and support
1 week € 400, each next week € 300.
Is requested a deposit of € 200  when the applicant receives acceptation of the candidature.
Balance is due no later one month before the sojourning begins.
The residency fee is intended to cover the general cost of running the program and the maintenance of historic building that is under the protection of Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
Artists in residence are therefore expected to cover their own living expenses and the costs of their accommodation and studio space.
We are happy to assist artists seeking grants or other forms of funding in their home country/institution, by providing letters of recommendation when the candidature is accepted.
Another possibility of financial aid  is fundraising through a crowdfunding site (gofundme, kickstarter, indiegogo, etc.). In this way, some of our artists have successfully supported their residence.
Expectations towards the artist
At the end of the residency, we can host an Open Studios day, open to the public. This is a great chance for the artists to share the work done during the residency with a broader audience who is made up of professionals, art lovers, neighbors, friends.
Exhibition and public talks takes place at discretion of the La Macina staff and in agreement with the resident artist.
La Macina di San Cresci cooperates with some Art Galleries in Florence, where it is possible to organize exhibitions for our artists.

Applicants are invited based upon resume, compatibility and stated artistic intentions.
Decisions are made by a committee composed of representatives from the Municipality of Greve in Chianti and a staff of artists and professionals.
Residency applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and can be submitted at any time.

GlogauAIR offers the use of a studio space in a superb location in Berlin and a unique experience taking part in the residency program. A base in Berlin to be able to visit the city and it's thousand cultural venues and a place where other artists are living a similar experience in an athmosphere of friendship and collaboration.


Studios
There are 10 studios distributed in 2 floors. Each floor has shared kitchen, shower, WC and WIFI, basic expenses (maintenance, gas, electricity, and internet) are included.
The kitchens are fully equipped and the studios have a double sofa bed with bed linen, table, chairs, desk lamp / bed lamp, wardrobe and shelve.
We can provide extra furniture if available or, if you have visitors, an extra mattress and bedding.
There is also a charming garden and a backyard for common use.
Open Studios Exhibition
You are invited to participate in GlogauAIR´s 
Open Studios Exhibition, which offers the residents direct contact to the local artistic scene and a dialog with the public.
In occasion of the Open Studios exhibition, GlogauAIR will edit a catalog with information and photos of every resident artist, as well as a flyer and press release.
Other Activities
You are also invited to take part on the different activities and collaboration projects organized in

GlogauAIR will also provide access to all the equipment and tools available in the residence, to use for one week, extendible if no other artist demands it:
Multimedia: 4 beamers, 6 CRT TVs, 4 TFT screens, 6 DVD players, 2 media players, sound mixer and speakers.
Tools: Hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, saws, wrenches, hand and vertical drill, mitter and grinder saw, sander, white wall painting, rollers, etc.
Lighting: Flood lights (Halogen and Metal Halide), fluorescent tubes, spot and snoot lamps

Housekeeping
Although we do our best to help, residency artists have the duty to keep the common spaces (bathroom and kitchen) clean and tidy. And, artists have to clean their bedrooms and studios before they leave.
When you arrive you will find your studio clean and everything ready to work, you will have to leave it in the same conditions

If the artist comes from a non-European country, he/she has to go through the process of obtaining a German Visa valid throughout the time of residence. We offer our collaboration by writing a letter of admission.

The artist must take responsibility to pay individually for the costs of the studio prices and insurance, transport and travel expenses. Normally the artist will look for a grant in his/her country to finance all the costs, although GlogauAir will do everything possible to facilitate the search for financial Aid, i.e. sending a non-binding letter of invitation that endorses the decision of the artist. On the other hand, GlogauAir is constantly looking for sponsor entities to bring granted artists and pay for activities of the residents.

Artists are required to present work and attend each Open Studio within their residency period. Lack of fulfillment of this condition can result in charges equivalent to the whole rental deposit guarantee at the sole discretion of GlogauAIR.

RESIDENCY FEES
Accommodation 600 € / month
Open Studios, Curatorial and technical support 300 € / quarter (To be paid upon acceptance)
Minimum cost of the program (One artist 3 Months) 2.100 €
Deposit guarantee 600 €
Second artist +100 € / month (Only for artists with a proven track record of working together as an artistic pair).

PAYMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS
1) Upon selection, the artist will receive a copy of the contract which shall not considered valid until the full payment of the deposit and the support fees has been received within 15 days after along with a signed copy of the Agreement been returned
2) Deposit guarantee will be returned in full to the artist should there be no damages or other encumbrances upon check-out
3) All payments will be made via bank transfer, no cash will be accepted. Any bank charges will be paid for by the artist immediately before arrival
Guests staying at the studio need to be notified to the administration office and the artist will be liable to a 40 € / guest /day surcharge
This price includes accommodation/studio and participation in the residency program, technical support, curatorial advice, participation in the 
Open Studios Exhibition (including catalog) and other activities (popup exhibitions, artists' talks, presentations, interviews...) to be discussed case by case with the artist, and being part of GlogauAIR's international network.

Deposit and cancellations
A deposit of one month residency fee is due two months before beginning of the residency to effectively book your studio.
Money wiring fees are to be paid by the sender.
If you cancel 3 months before your stay, you receive a complete refund. Cancellations less than 3 months before your residency incur no refund.
