TURN USED AND OLD BOTTLES TO ART. CRAFTS BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Old and Used bottles, give me so much pleasure to revamp and give a new lease of life.

The thrill for me, are the endless possibilities, that go with this craft.

All you need, is an open mind and you can express yourself, anyhow it fits.

For me using fabric,ropes and paper, is more my style.

Another aspect, is the fact that bottles are cheap to obtain.

You can get them at your house, from friends.

You can also ask, your local restaurant or bar and get them for free.

Its all, in the creative process and what we make, of these bottles that matter.

Enjoy some of my revamped used bottles.......

MY 'DECONSTRUCT' ART; PAINTINGS AND DRAWINGS; BY MIABO ENYADIKE

MY 'DECONSTRUCT' ART:
PAINTINGS AND DRAWINGS:
BY MIABO ENYADIKE

I love playing with drawings I've made,

I enjoy taking them further almost like deconstructing them,

into something more exciting and forward. I have created quite a few for clients, over the years and they have turned out awesome.

Lately, I  picked a few of my original Art and 'deconstructed' them again, into fabric and wallpaper design.

MY UNTITLED DENIM PANTS SCULPTURE; ABSTRACT ART BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Sometimes in Art, we have a vision of creativity, that has nothing to do with any events or occurrences around us,

DENIM JEANS SCULPTURE; UNTITLED;  2015; BY MIABO ENYADIKE.

except the sheer need, as an artist to express this vision.

                     DENIM JEANS SCULPTURE; UNTITLED; 2015;  BY MIABO ENYADIKE.

These sculpture pieces, that I made fall in that exclusive category.

         DENIM JEANS SCULPTURE; UNTITLED; 2015;  BY MIABO ENYADIKE.

 For me, other than  having so many pairs of old and used denim pants, that I had collected and kept,

DENIM JEANS PANTS SCULPTURE; UNTITLED; 2015; BY MIABO ENYADIKE

there really wasn't any inspiration behind these sculpted pieces.

DENIM JEANS PANTS SCULPTURE; UNTITLED;2015;BY MIABO ENYADIKE

The fact, that I did not want to discard them and always wanted to recycle them,

          DENIM JEANS PANTS SCULPTURE; UNTITLED; 2015; BY MIABO ENYADIKE

into Art of some sort, probably is the inspiration behind them.

           DENIM JEANS PANTS SCULPTURE; UNTITLED;2015; BY MIABO ENYADIKE

So they remain untitled

....Enjoy!

THE FAMILY MIXED MEDIA ART ILLUSTRATION BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Sitting and having lunch in a restaurant sometime ago and minding my own business...

I noticed a family walk in from the corner of my eye, and watched them slowly settle in a table opposite mine.

The Family; Mixed media ; Abstract Art; Illustration; 90cm.80cm; Ink on paper board 2014

It was one of those lazy afternoons I had nothing to do and just wanted to chill out.

So doing nothing, my eyes were busy taking note of everything around me whilst I had my drink.

It was interesting, to watch this family of four,the mother who obviously, looked like she needed a break and the father who could not hide his frustration, about anything and everything.

The Family; Mixed media ; Abstract Art; Illustration; 90cm.80cm; Ink on paper board 2014

They had this cute daughter who ran the show. She really was joyfully naughty definitely getting under the skin of her dad, thank goodness not her mum who was bent on ignoring her tantrums.

The Family; Mixed media ; Abstract Art; Illustration; 90cm.80cm; Ink on paper board 2014

The other member of the family a teenage boy between the age of 14 and 16 I could not really tell, had his entire attention on his phone totally oblivious of what was going on around his person.

I watched underneath my eyelids, enjoying every moment of this family's outing and glad to be out alone.

The Family; Mixed media ; Abstract Art; Illustration; 90cm.80cm; Ink on paper board 2014

As a mother of 2 teenage kids and a 6yr old, I could understand why the mother of those kids, needed a break and left their father to attend to the kids.

It's a scene, that is all too familiar to me and plays out each time we are out as a family.

Anything the kids say or need, I just point my finger, to their father and say ask daddy!.

I decided to capture this scene and of course relieved that I was not in it.

I  brought out my pen from my bag, after I had asked for my bill,and quickly sketched the facial expressions, of this family on a spare napkin on my table.

I later made a mixed media illustration painting of it later that afternoon.......Enjoy.

TEARS THAT KEEP FLOWING; CONTEMPORARY TEXTILE ART; BY MIABO ENYADIKE

Fabric cut offs for me, its just like a dog and a bone............! I love, to collect fabrics samples and cut offs. My ears are fastened to the ground, for any information on cut offs.

My last batch of textiles, came from a charity store, down the road. I took advantage, of the fact that I'm known there already, to choose the best, right inside the managers store room/office.

        TEARS THAT KEEP FLOWING;TEXTILE ART;120CM,90CM;
                 NEEDLE WORK;2015;MIABO ENYADIKE

I descended on brocade, cotton, poly cotton, jersey and good linen textile cut offs with great pleasure.!This time around, I was going to create contemporary art, with these textile cut offs.

Patience, had to be brought in as well as endurance, these two had to play a part in this new adventure, I was about to embark on.

I mean I am no stranger to contemporary textile art, I am familiar with the  brilliant works of quite a few of the artists, who are masters in this art.

I just have never seen myself doing it, it just felt right for me at this point to try it.

           TEARS THAT KEEP FLOWING;TEXTILE ART;120CM,90CM;
                 NEEDLE WORK;2015;MIABO ENYADIKE

I said to myself, its needle and thread right! but found out later its much more than that.

It is the raw emotions of the artist being interpreted with textile, expressing or silently voicing out an event or situation that is all too familiar.

        TEARS THAT KEEP FLOWING;TEXTILE ART;120CM,90CM;
                 NEEDLE WORK;2015;MIABO ENYADIKE

The title of this art work, "TEARS THAT KEEP FLOWING,1&2" is simply a continuous good or bad occurrence in our lives.
If it is not us directly, then its someone we know or someone else.

These works of mine, are about tears that just keeping flowing for disasters that stem from disease out breaks, natural deaths, loss of a child, loss of a spouse, multiple deaths from plane crashes, natural disasters and victims of human trafficking.

        TEARS THAT KEEP FLOWING;TEXTILE ART;120CM,90CM;
                   NEEDLE WORK;2015;MIABO ENYADIKE

Others include Boat mishaps for refugees, xenophobic attacks, political killings,insane wars against humanity, destruction of ancient artifacts, rape, extortion, unjustified killings, the list just goes on and on.

Every morning that we are blessed and privileged to experience a new day, if the tears are not running down our faces, we are grateful and thankful.

      TEARS THAT KEEP FLOWING;TEXTILE ART;120CM,90CM;
                  NEEDLE WORK;2015;MIABO ENYADIKE

We know, deep down in our hearts it is favor, from the lord because out there somewhere, there are tears that are flowing.....Enjoy.
